Comics for March 15, 2010 - 03/15/2010
Hello!
So if you head over to www.aintitcoolnews.com , the comic reviews came out Weds (6/16) with a review for my other book, Dr. Oblivion’s Guide to Prom! It’s a one-shot that shows what happens when a super-villian chaparones his daughter’s prom! Soon, the issue will be available over at www.comixpress.com (like the first mini-series, Dr. Oblivion’s Guide to Teenage Dating, which is up now!). Also, starting in July, Dr. Oblvion’s Guide to Teenage Dating will join inBetweeners and Monkey In Space at www.sideways8studios.com! It will usher in a change in the look of the site itself as well as a few other changes, such as a gallery and the titles getting their own release days (Monkey In Space on Mondays, inBetweeners on Wednesdays and Dr. Oblvion’s Guide to Teenage Dating on Fridays!) I’m also gearing up for next year’s big 2010 Phoenix Comic Con, where I will be joining the Fiction House Mafia crew (www.fictionhousemafia.com) at a table there, as well as peddling my wares! So, check out the review! Go to Comixpress! Visit Fiction House Mafia! Sign up for the 2010 Phoenix Comic Con! Laters!

Hello again, and Happy Holidays from Sideways 8 Studios! We hope you’re getting the day off, eating lots of non-fruitcake related home cooking and getting lots ‘o presents! Plus, there’s that whole “spending time with family thing”.
Anyhoo, If this is the first time reading Monkey In Space, it’s written as a liner comics strip, which means, while I try to write it as stand alone strips, there is an underlying story of our castaways. Our cast consists of: Tip, said Monkey In Space. He’s a fast talking, self-absorbed, playboy of a monkey who enjoys more than his fair share of banana daiquiris. Socket, a janitorial robot on the ship Tip was on, he’s just a regular guy who got caught in a bad situation. Chica, the hot alien bounty hunter who rescued Tip and Socket, and now accompany her on her bounty runs.
With Monkey In Space, I was kind of shooting for a “Hitchhikers’ Guide To The Galaxy” meets (New) “Battlestar Galactica” feel to it. We run new strips of Monkey In Space every Wednesday morning (c’mon, it’s new book day, and who can turn down free comics on new book day?) So go ahead and hit that “first” button right up there and you can read it from the beginning! We’ll see you next week with a new strip!

Hello! SO I see you’ve made it either by picking up one of our 4 different postcards at the freebee table at this years San Diego Comic Con, know me from Atomic Comics in Arizona, or googled “free comics” and pulled us up. Either way, we’re glad to have you! Monkey In Space will be a weekly comic strip showcasing the adventures of Tip, Socket and Chica, on the run from the villainy of the Tri, an intergalactic force of evil. If you’d like to see more art, visit us at www.sideways8studios.deviantart.com ! hope to see you every week!
